Love stories will glide across the dance floor for Valentine’s Day when a local dance company explores relationships through ballet.
Freaks with Lines, a Los Angeles-based dance company that focuses on classical ballet will be presenting an original dance performance called “Trilogy of Relations,” which will premiere at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, online at BalletProject.TV, a site that streams dance performances.
The contemporary performance will be made up of three ballet duets that touch on three different aspects of love: elation, manipulation and flirtation.
“COVID-19 has robbed us of the emotional experience of live performance this past year,” Susan Vishmid, founder of Freaks With Lines, said in a release, adding that their work “intends to fill a void with personal stories expressed through ballet.”
